Message from the Mayor on COVID-19

July 9, 2020

Citizens of Polson and Lake County,

Because of the recent spike in the positive number of COVID-19 cases, Mayor of Polson, Paul Briney and City Manager, Wade Nash are strongly encouraging the uses of masks or cloth face coverings in public settings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.  To help protect our vulnerable community members as well as maintain our open business climate, science has shown that using masks will help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

In addition to requesting the use of masks, City Hall is closed to the public for walk in access and all business will be conducted on-line or over the telephone, payments can be dropped off at the drop box in front of City Hall.   The City of Polson cannot risk the potential contamination of our city employees especially the police, fire and water and sewer employees. This closure will be in place until July 21st and will be re-evaluated on that date.

Paul Briney
City of Polson Mayor

Wade Nash
Interim City Manager
