City Manager, Ed Meece

Ed Meece, an experienced and dedicated individual who joined the City of Polson on October 1, 2020. With a wealth of knowledge and a passion for public service, Mr. Meece has an impressive background in municipal operations and leadership. 

Prior to joining Polson, Mr. Meece served as a municipal executive in three different cities: Livingston, MT; Bardstown, KY; and Taylor Mill, KY. He has also held significant roles as the Parking Manager in Bozeman, MT, and as the Assistant Director of Public Works in Louisville, KY. 

With over 30 years of experience in local government, Mr. Meece brings a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of municipal operations. He has been involved in critical areas such as public safety, crisis response, utilities management (including water, sewer, electric, cable television, and internet), fleet management, legislative advocacy, community planning and land use, economic development, human resources, and finance. 

In addition to his role as City Manager, Mr. Meece is an active volunteer firefighter with the City of Polson Fire Department. His dedication to serving the community extends beyond his administrative responsibilities, as he actively contributes to ensuring the safety and well-being of Polson's residents. 

Mr. Meece holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Eastern Kentucky University, along with a Master of Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University. His academic achievements complement his extensive practical experience, making him a valuable asset to the City of Polson. 

We are fortunate to have Mr. Meece expertise and commitment to public service as he works diligently with our municipal team to enhance the quality of life in Polson. His comprehensive understanding of municipal operations and his passion for serving the community will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and prosperity of our city.
